Direct Flight to China From Manila

Good news to travelers!  Direct flight from Manila to Beijing, China has newly been launched by China’s leading airline, Air China, Ltd.  They also feature direct flight from China to Manila.  Schedule of flights will be thrice each week starting latter part of April, 2010 (see airline’s schedules for details).

Tourism Secretary Ace Durano said in an interview that he expects the increase in number of Chinese tourists visiting the Philippines because the Philippine booth in the Shanghai World Expo 2010 will surely attract more or less 60,000 people daily.

Air China, Ltd. has reportedly registered a capital of 6.5 billion RMB and the paid-up capital of 9.433 billion RMB and making profit still since year 2001.

The direct flight to China will surely bring growth to Philippine Tourism, not to mention its contribution to present economic development, which will bring forth additional labor requirements to many. This was guaranteed by Councilor Wu Zhengping of the Chinese Embassy in Manila who agreed with Transportation and Communications Undersecretary Doroteo Reyes, that the increased flights would further facilitate tourist arrivals in the Philippines.  He also mentioned that that 750,000 Filipino tourist visited China in 2009, making Manila the seventh- largest source of tourists for Beijing. Furthermore, 220,000 Chinese tourists visited the Philippines in 2009 which marked a 39-percent growth from year 2008.

Knowing that China is the biggest market in the developing countries with 1.9 billion people and the biggest in the world
in terms of population, Air China comes to the Philippines with a lot of opportunities and benefits.  For all travelers, this is your chance to make your ‘leisure pursuit’ contributes to at least surpass crisis today even a little.  Small things joined together can bring bigger success.
